Example of standard magnetic system with VTI

Scientific Magnetics offers a wide range of standard and special superconducting magnet systems for research and has led the way in the commercialisation of cryogen free systems, utilising both low temperature superconductor (LTS) such as niobium titanium (NbTi) or niobium tin (Nb3Sn) and high temperature superconductor (HTS) materials such as BSCCO-2223.

Example of electronic control rack

We offer a range of enabling electronics, including superconducting magnet power supplies, temperature controllers and helium and nitrogen level meters.

We offer a range of low, ultra-low, and variable temperature inserts which interface to our superconducting magnet products. We also have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of large and complex active cryogenic systems operating at superfluid Helium temperatures. We design and build vapour cooled current leads for superconducting magnets and test equipment operating at cryogenic temperatures.

Example of consultancy work

Our principal design staff are available to help solve your engineering problems in the areas of magnetics, cryogenic and mechanical design. We use the latest finite-element modelling tools.
